Linda P. Williams

Council member Linda P. Williams retired from full-time teaching at Camden County High School in 2009.  For several years she taught part-time at the Camden Center of the College of Coastal Georgia, but now she has decided to use her retirement energies to work for her City.  Mrs. Williams served on the St. Marys City Council in the early 1990's and followed her City serv ice with a term on the Camden County Board of Commissioners (1996-1999).  Mrs. Williams looks forward to helping St. Marys grow while at the same time preserving this city's unique qualities.

Council member Williams has lived in St. Marys for 28 years.  She and her husband Henry, a native of Woodbine, raised their three children in their home on Bealey Street.  Nothing is more fun for Henry and Linda than having their adult children come to St. Mays on holidays along with their spouses and the Williams' five grandchildren.  Council member Williams enjoys kayaking, yoga, word games, and her book club.  She stays active as treasure of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Woodbine, and she serves on the board of Coastal Counseling Center, a non-profit that provides counseling services to individuals with limited or no insurance coverage.
