Council member Keith Post retired from the United States Navy after proudly serving his country for 22 ½ years. He has immersed himself in his adopted community of St. Marys, Georgia while continually supporting the local military community. Council member Post was appointed as the Executive Director of the St. Marys Submarine Museum in 2010. He currently serves as the Georgia Area President of the Navy League and is a member of the Camden County Chamber of Commerce, the St. Marys Kiwanis Club and First Presbyterian Church of St. Marys.
Council member Post obtained his Real Estate License in July of 2004 and remains a licensed Realtor. Council member Post was selected as the Camden/Charlton County Realtor of the Year in 2008. In 2009, in recognition of all of his numerous community service projects and dedication to his community, he was awarded the Rosie Kelly Community Service Award by the St. Marys Downtown Merchants Association.
Council member Post was appointed in 2009 by Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle as one of only five realtors out of the 250 members on the 10 Regional Water Planning Councils across the State of Georgia. He was a member of the Coastal Region Water Council which developed a Coastal Comprehensive Water Management Plan as part of the state-wide three year effort. Council member Post is Treasurer of the historic Orange Hall Foundation, a member of the College of Coastal Georgia Advisory Board for the Camden Campus, and is a member of the College of Coastal Georgia Advisory Board for Business and Public Affairs at the Brunswick Campus.
While the Navy brought him to St. Marys originally, the wonderful people, the great climate and the incredible views, his favorite being from the waterfront park, have kept him here.
