John Morrissey

Council member John F. Morrissey is the Mayor Pro Tem for the City of St. Marys and Post #5 City Council member.  Council member Morrissey has a (BBA) Bachelors of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University and did his graduate MBA studies at the University of Buffalo.  Mr. Morrissey retired from a wide ranging career with Corning Incorporated where he specialized in procurement as a Business Procurement Manager and Strategic Procurement Manager at Division and Corporate levels. 

Council member Morrissey sits on the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), the County wide Joint Development Authority (JDA), the St. Marys Intracoastal Gateway Committee (SMIG) and the Salvation Army Advisory Committee.  Council member Morrissey truly enjoys the views along the whole length of St. Marys Street and the friendly welcoming message it sends to all visitors to the City.  The weather, people, living style and most importantly his family here in historic St. Marys all combines to rekindle his deep southern roots and has made St. Marys the ideal place to work, play and pray.
