St. Marys City Hall is open Monday-Friday, from 8am to 5pm barring scheduled holidays.

What are the requirements to hold an event on a City street (i.e. parade, festival, fun run/walk, etc.)?

 

The requirements to conduct an event on a City street vary based on the type and scope of event to be held.  Please contact Deborah Walker-Reed to guide you through the process.  The City of St. Marys Code of Ordinances is also a guide for information regarding a street function or parade.

How do I apply for a parade permit? What is the fee?

To apply for a parade permit, please complete a permit request form.  This form can be gotten for the City Manager's office at City Hall.  The form must be notarized, including a map of the proposed parade route.  Street(s) needing to be blocked must be submitted.  There is no fee to submit an assembly permit request form.  Please contact Deborah Walker-Reed for further assistance.

How Can I Find Out the Cost of My Citation?


When is My Court Date?

  • Court is usually held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month
  • Visit www.ci.st-marys.ga.us (click on departments, click Municipal Court, on the left side of the page click Court Calendar)
  • On your citation there should be a court date and time. To avoid penalties you must either pay your citation or appear in court on that schedule date and time
  • As a last resort, as always you may contact the Clerk's office 912-510-4023

 How Can I Reschedule My Court Date?

  • For a non mandatory court appearance please contact the Clerk's office no later than 4:30pm on the Wednesday before your scheduled court date.  You must receive verbal or written authorization, please don't assume that because you have requested a contunuance it has been approved.
  • For mandatory court appearances please contact the Clerk's office at least one week prior to your scheduled court date for further instructions.
